The launch of The Biz Link Bournemouth took place this week (Tuesday 8 October) at The Lifecentre in Winton and was well attended by New Enterprise Allowance Scheme start-ups and small business owners.
David Wilson-Roberts, one of the founders, sums it up: “The BizLink Bournemouth offers something very different to other networking events. It’s not just about getting people in a room and swapping business cards, it’s far more than that. We want our members to get involved in The Bizlink community and for them to hopefully gain more from their participation.”
Attendees at the first meeting were asked for their opinion on how the community should be run. Lauren Tompkins, owner of Create it all, Bournemouth said: “Its great to be part of this new community which works together to support and help grow our businesses. Also to be given the opportunity to help shape the community from the start is fantastic.“
Feedback at the end of the evening from everyone attending was extremely positive and all very much looking forward to the next event.
The next BizLink Bournemouth event is being held on Tuesday 12 November at The Lifecentre in Winton. There are also plans to hold a further event during the day.
